What stays on your device

Birth dates, floor plan images, map points and results are processed by your web browser. They are not sent to our server and we do not store them. Some tools place your inputs in the page address (for example ?d=1990-05-12) so you can bookmark or share a result; that address stays in your browser unless you share it.

Location and sensors

The house facing finder can centre the map on your location if you press the location button, and the phone compass reads your device's orientation sensor after you press Start. Both are used only in your browser, only after you allow them, and are never sent to us.

Third-party services

• Maps. The map-based tools load satellite imagery from Esri and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Your browser requests the tiles for the area you view.
• Address search. When you search for an address, the text you type is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to find the location.
• Fonts and scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
• Analytics. We may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies and collects data such as your approximate location, device and pages viewed.
• Advertising. We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server keeps short-term technical logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and troubleshooting.
